Garmin Striker Plus 4 Review – Worth the Consideration?

If you are a professional fisherman, GPS fish finder is not something new for you. For me particularly, fishing is a way for earning my bread and butter.

A fish finder is a device that a user can use to find the location of fish underwater from graphically shown information about the measurements of reflected sound. The user can also find underwater debris and the depth of the water body.

Anyways, I have been using the Garmin Stiker plus 4 for long now to get all these jobs done pretty neatly and will review the product down below.

Design

Looks doesn’t matter when it comes to fishfinders, but the matte finished body of Garmin Striker Plus 4 is sure to attract your attention towards it.

Garmin made the Striker Plusfrom heavy duty military standard material that makes it useful under any circumstances. It weighs around 318 grams with dimensions of 3.9 x 1.8 x 6.9 inches.

Furthermore, you get a large display of 4’3” inches is included in this little wonder.Nonetheless, the most important design of the Striker Plus unit is the inclusion of its dual beam transducer.

Partaking Features to Spare a Thought

Our Rating

Garmin Striker Plus 4

We are not buying a showpiece here. Functionality is a lot more important to me than built and design of the product.

As a professional fisherman myself, I know that no matter how gorgeous a Fishfinder looks upfront, it is of no use to me unless the features are good enough to get me a good catch.
After all, catches and size of the catches are what matter the most.Without wasting time, lets discuss the features Garmin Striker plus 4 is offering to us.

Large Display

Let’s face it! What’s a good fish finder without a good display?

The Striker Plus 4 offers a large display of 4.3 inches that graphically shows all the required information and can be read even under bright sunlight.

Mapping Software

As a fisherman, you will love the fish finder with map storing capability. Because, many of us surely have had an experience where we visited the same portion of sea twice mistakenly, hence wasting our time.

Thankfully, this Garmin finder helps us from this problem as it contains built-in shapes mapping software. You can draw and save contour maps as you go through areas that you fish. Just simply get into the “Quickdraw Contours”option and then select “Start Recording.” Simple as that!
